  Description
Tanzanite is a gemstone that is a variety of a mineral called zoisite. Tanzanite crystals are tri-colored, and when the gemstone is turned, its color changes from blue to dark to purple to yellowish green.
When heat is applied to tanzanite crystals, they become blue only. Blue is the most popular color, which is why the majority of tanzanite is heat treated. Tanzanite is cut into gemstones with many flat, polished surfaces, which confirms its light-reflecting property. Gemstones are used in jewelry such as rings, necklaces and earrings.
Tanzanite was discovered in 1967 AD, in Tanzania, after which it was named. Tanzania is the only known source of tanzanite. Because its supply is limited, gemstones are expensive.

Silver Care
Store your jewelry in a clean, dry place
Use a fabric-lined box with dividers to prevent tangling and scratching. If a box isn't available, wrap each piece in a soft tissue. For silver jewelry, use an anti-tarnish pouch or cloth.
Avoid harmful chemicals
Perfumes, lotions, and hairspray can damage precious metals and stones. Keep your jewelry aside while getting ready, and put it on as the final touch before heading out.
Use gentle cleaners
The best way to clean your jewelry is with warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush. Avoid harsh cleaners.
When in doubt, take it off
The pool, the gym, or even while cooking… none are ideal places for your jewelry. Always take it off and store it safely to avoid damage or loss.
